Description

Background story:

These rock pools were once a pair of pine cupboard doors built into the dining
room of a 1934 house, typical of new builds in the UK between WWI and WWII. The builder was local
to the village and the wood locally sourced (E.Mids) . Nearly 90 years old, the wood will have been
planted about 1900. The doors were given to me by the owners, and came with panels papered,
peeling back through these layers there was period wallpaper which can also be seen in the art work.
