SOLO EXHIBITION HECKINGTON WINDMILL OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2024
‘Whispers on the Wind’ Is a culmination of being artist in residence at Heckington Windmill. Not only in honouring the mill’s rich history, and my own family links, but also capturing the energy of its work today. By being part of the life of the mill and community, understanding the workings and the rhythms of the surroundings, I feel my work has an gained an inner richness. Restored wood and materials, archived documents, poetry and captured voices combine so each piece reflects both the mill’s past and its role in our present.
Admission is free and I’ll be at milling and other events to chat about the work—I’d love to see you there
A short video of the making of The Giants of Heckington’ This painting was created especially for Heckington Windmill and is inspired by the poem ‘The Windmill’ by HWLongfellow, and the impostant people and characters in Heckington’s History, as well as the windmill itself.

Through moving and shifting layers of imagery and poetry, the work tells a story of both wonder and caution
